Centrally located in the heart of Vienna, Austria is the high end, Park Hyatt hotel. This five star luxury hotel is in a beautifully restored 100 year old building that was once a bank. With amazing service and amenities plus starting prices close to $500 per night, this is a great hotel to use Hyatt points or better yet, your free nights from the Hyatt Visa card.

On a recent trip to Europe, we stayed at the Park Hyatt Vienna. We reserved our room using our two free nights from the Hyatt Visa card and there were no additional taxes or fees making the grand total $0. This property is also available for 25,000 Hyatt Gold Passport Points per night.

From the moment we walked into the lobby the staff was more than happy to help with our every need. The front desk staff held our bags for us when we arrived early and even escorted us to our room when it was ready to give us a tour. The concierge answered all our questions and made reservations for us, just avoid the Vienna Ring Tram if they recommend it as we did not enjoy it. The lobby has a classic minimal look while the restaurant and bars are quite extravagant. There are two restaurants, the elegant Bank Brasserie & Bar and Cafe Am Hof coffee house. You can also enjoy whisky and cigars in the Livingroom and pre-dinner drinks in the Lounge. Downstairs is the Arany Spa with an amazing pool that is located in the vault of the old bank.

We booked a Park King room but thanks to Hyatt Platinum status (also from the Hyatt Visa card) we were upgraded to a Park Studio King upon arrival. Our room was on the top floor overlooking Vienna’s rooftops and the courtyard. The room was contemporary with many high end touches. It was very spacious with an entryway, separate bathroom, work area and king size bed. The marble bathroom included a rainfall shower, deep soaking tub, chandeliers, built in television and plush robes for two. Everything in the room is automated and wifi is complimentary. A nespresso coffee maker with coffee is also provided free of charge. There is a stocked minibar with food and drinks available for purchase. The room had everything we needed and then some!

The location, on Am Hof square cannot be beat! Most of the main sights in Vienna are located around the Ringstrasse and the hotel is right in the middle of it all. We were able to easily walk to everything. Am Hof square is also home to many festivals such as an Austrian food and wine festival that was going on right outside our front door while we were there!
